OKay so the serama is normal
I would not complain if it turned out to be a frizzled serama. The silkie is defenetly a sizzle. I have two of those. I have bought from sooo many peeps I can't remember who these came from. BUt wow, they are strong and awsome. My last silkies came from HOP2POT and it will be another 19 days before we see them. Silkies are tough on me. I know most mine come through the mail but, it hard to get 60% hatch rate and then when they do hatch, I keep them from the other baby chicks because the RIR and BR they are little more rambuncious. They are more likey for pasty butt (which is easy to take care of) and I seem to loose 1-2 a week for no reason.
I think I have 15 or 20 right now living. Good news is I have more eggs in the bator from HOT2POT. I have a total of 193 eggs in the bators Silkies, Heritage RIRs, Standard RIRs, Buff Orps, French Black Cooper Marans, white crested BluePolish and MF D'Uccles, Bantam Favorelles and Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas. Should be interesting in the next 30 days. I know it seems crazy to have so many but candle rates, hatch rates and some pass away or get trampled in the brooder. Is this about right/normal?
