Been browsing BYC and found something interesting. People are now auctioning eggs and birds at a new site http://www.facebook.com/groups/PoultryBid/. I just asked to join.

Here is the thread where the ladies are discussing it - Auction Information wouldn't be surprised if that thread goes bye bye tho, as they are bashing the byc auction format.

I know many of you are disappointed with how auctions are now, maybe this can help you out.

I joined but, too me it doesn't seem to be any differant than our auctions on here.

But I thought maybe more publicity to auction my poultry would be nice.

On another note we are going out shopping to get barn material finally talked hubby into building me a 10x16 barn just for my chickens. Gonna have 4 stalls. I have a small coop barn for my quail that they are in by themselves that I bought off of Ebay 2 years ago and remodled it no leaking or drafts. I can't wait to finally have a barn that is draft free and leak free.

We once had neighbors who raised emus. They gave the kids one of those eggs, it was around for years - without ever being blown out

one day I just tossed it in the burn barrel.

Good luck on hatching it! I doubt it will be a beautiful chick though
