How how adorable!!! The yellow chic is a mottled lavender, I always wanted one and was never lucky enough to have one hatch. When grown it will look much like a regular lav but does carry the mottled gene. You will be able to tell them apart as your mottled will have white legs instead of slate.

Thanks! Guess I was lucky then. They are so cute and I was very happy something hatched because the aircells were kinda wonky on the eggs. They are keepers and here's to hoping for hens

Busy, Busy, Busy here. Not much time for anything else right now.

I will try to get every ones swaps out today that I owe them if not tomorrow for sure. It is hectic here now with all the practices and getting things done around here before practice.

Hi all! Where is the swap thread? Can anyone join? I've seen some peoples swap pages but can't find out how to do it.

Have a great day!

Funny, Marie! Where can I get a chicken that lays purple eggs??!?!?!

I could finally MAKE some money off these wonderful creatures! I love my chickens!!!
Here's what I did today:

Some 1st and 2nd graders from Gulf Coast Christian School in St. Petersburg, FL came to my house today for an Eggcellent Field Trip!! Their teacher, Ms Fields, incubates eggs as part of her science thread. The kids were great! Plenty of chaperones, too. They seemed to have a great time, and took back to school 32 eggs to incubate. Go chickies, go!!!

I am struggling just keeping up with everything and get everything done. I have no time anymore. Making dinner early so we don't have to order out and trying to make simple dinners which I am not good at doing. I like to make nice meals. Trying to keep up with the swaps, Cleaning and managing the chickens and running the kids around.

Next after this is Football for both the boys and cheerleading for my daughter. Good thing my youngest isn't old enough to play anything yet.

farmerChef: I found the Blue Crele chick (5 toes!) Here's pics at 1 day and 4 days:

ps Anyone on FB? I finally gave in to peer pressure, and I like it.
