This place has everything. For real. It's 10 acres. They have a livestock barn (horses, cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, etc), a poultry barn (selling supplies, even supplies for critters in the livestock barn, poultry of any kind, rabbits, guinea pigs, lots of doves and pigeons, eggs, etc), a produce barn (selling produce obviously and amish made goods, like whoopie pies, breads, etc) and then they have a restaurant (cheap prices, good food) and outdoors they have a huge area for flea market venders, who sell hot foods (hot sausage sammiches baby!) more produce and knick knacks, even guns, fishing supplies, dvd's, etc, etc. Basically like a monsterous Walmart of the REAL foods and goods. This place is freaking awesome. The only thing I haven't seen is fresh meats (in the already dead and cut up version, lol), but I haven't even looked over the entire place in the years I've gone, and I think there's a possibility of it being up in the restaurant area. If not, there's Peachy's meat market about a mile down the road, and I know they have decent prices on meat. A client I used to work for used to get their meats from Peachy's, I try to get mine from my brother, since he can get it at employee rates from the butcher shop. He works there every few weeks to keep his discount, lol.

ETA: I bought group of Californians there two years ago... Right at the start of breeding age, for $3.25 for each of them... Four females and one male, then sold off two of the females for $20. I checked today (for future reference, lol) and the same supplier is there still... plenty of just breeding age Calis! I didn't stay to see how much they went for, but I know it'll be under five bucks per babbit. I'm just debating between Calis and Rexes. I love the hides of rexes (and the colorations), but you have to butcher them out later for furs than you would want to for meat... So I haven't quite decided yet.

Are you talking about the Green Dragon? if so, my husband firmly grabbed my arm and steered me out of the chicken auction!

Wait... What? Where's this one at? The one I go to is the Belleville sale... But wouldn't hesitate to check out another if it's close enough, lol.

of leather working tools from a side swap with her! My son was absolutely delighted and trying them out within about 2 minutes. He'll be busy all summer! Thank you SOOOOOO much!

Ugh. I've driven to Throop before, and won't ever do that again, even if it is for an awesome auction! I'd have to get about 100 dozen eggs, 50 pekin ducklings, some scovies (breeding quads, no less) and some other really awesome stuff (for like $10 total) to make that trip worth it, lol.

Congrats on the turkeys !!!!
I hatched 10 Royal Palm poults yesterday! Thirteen eggs set, one was rotten

, and the last two were turned backwards in the shell. One pipped into the yolk, but they both died.

I am thrilled-I have never been able to hatch turkeys before! Six of these are going to KYTinpusher, and the other four are mine.

farmerChef - Your GFM has been ordered!

Woohoo! I think mine was going to expire soon.

Got the soaps today from Reese, watermelon and grapefruit :D

I'm trying so hard not to swap for an eggs. I want to make sure I have plenty of brooder room the last week of july when my order comes in from Meyer hatchery. 15 broadbreasted turkeys and 25 "adopt me" bargain chicks. Its like what ever hatches late and/or what's left over, hoping for a few extra turkeys and maybe a white egg layer or 2. That is, unless I have another hen go broody, then I will have to get some eggs  . One of the 3 trays in my bator is now empty, I want to fill it so bad. Its a good thing I only have like 75 cents in my paypal, I have been oogling ebay eggs.
