That's a shame you have to sell them but I can totally understand. I don't know how you were doing it what with all the kids activities!!

I don't know much about EE's but I don't think they have mohawks. Do they??
This guy is from my hatch on the 5th and he's one of Beth's eggs. Is this normal for an EE or could it be a mix? I think it's adorable!! I had a hard time getting a picture though. It doesn't stand up much, but it's definately there.


and in other chicken news, I've got one silky hatched, one NN pipped and two NNto go but there's not tapping or cheeping from those too so I'm worried. They weren't supposed to hatch til thurs/fri though so maybe the other two are just early birds.


With those black legs.... I know what hen she came from. The hen is a sizzle/EE and the rooster is a frizzled bantam Cochin. Super cute !!

Here are the Olive Eggers I hatched from HenThymes. With just one hen, black, I thought one of the blue roosters was the easy choice to keep.... until they grew up!
This is Flapper, the OE hen. Her feathers are irridescent teal in the sun. She is incredibly soft and sweet, too.

This is Joseph. He is beautiful, but is in solitary confinement because he is one fiesty little bugger! and only 15 weeks old! His gold feathers shine 14kt and his black feathers are irridescent teal and purple in the sun.

These are the two blue OE roos.

So, what do you guys think of them?

I've got some Bourbon Red turkey eggs and BBS or rather black and splash bearded silkies on the Crazy 24hr Auction thread. I really need to get some eggs sold. The feed is dangerously low and I have to restock. I sure hope you all can help out a bit.

I also had my first egg explosion-thankfully it was just a quail egg that has only been in since Monday!
