Anderson CONGRATS!!!! That is a wonderful score! BUT be there w hen your daughter sees a recruiter because they "may" convince her she only has 3 choices. When in fact she qualifies for many MOSs. (Military Occupational Specialties). They get bonus points for filling critically low MOSs throughout the country. Just remember if she has her heart set on a particular job and they won't do it, hop in your car and go to the next recruiter. She is NOT required to stay with any recruiter regardless till she is happy till the day she raises her hand and takes the oath. With hat score she should also get to pick her top 3 choices for basic training and her top 3 choices for her first permanent party station. It an incentive for scoring so high. Of course this is for Active duty. National Guard is different. You should be proud, that test is the new version and is not easy by any means. I am so tickled for her and your family.

REDBARNFARMS: Aweeeeee I know that look! I bet he did fine and will remember it the rest of his life. Congrats on your awesome soldier!

Hey y'all, Just wanted to say thank you for all the swaps and super adorable "extras". You are so super sweet!!!!!!!!!!! And I love all of them. Eveything came in perfect condition, including the super adorable chicken cup! Sorry I have not been on for a while. Busy, busy, busy. New puppy, Vet appointments, dog training appointmements, chick house clean outs, packing and shipping eggs and YaRd WoRk!! Ugh. I mean the list can go on and on.....but it was a good couple of weeks. I got another Border Collie - 10 weeks old. She looks almost exactly like Sissy. But I could not bring myself to call her Sissy girl. Just did not seem right. So we named her Daisy Lou.

Any who, glad to be back. I missed you all!!!!

He is AMAZING! Is is nice/friendly?

Dragon likes me..tolerates my youngest DD. Flogs the pen at anyone else. Typical bad rooster, but OOOO so pretty and good with his 2 girls. If you notice, his beak is filed down, he did that on the hardware clothe.

He will coo and puffs up for me and eats from my hand. My youngest DD collects the eggs and changes their water, he has been known peck toes if you are foolish enough to wear flip flops in his pen.

I have a young red gold pheasant growing out.....his colors are just coming in and are GORGEOUS ! I can't wait for him to mature.

Yeah, where are the pics??? Do borders shed like aussies? Australian sheps are my fav, these labs are killing me with their hair!!!!

THANK YOU so very much for the well wishes/congrats on my daughter's ASVAB score. Your words mean a lot to me!

Pauletta, thank you for the advice, I have gone with her to all visits except the actual test. I will be going with her next week when she sits down with them again. We've met mostly REALLY helpful recruiters that are open and honest since they don't get an actual commission anymore for numbers. (It's harder to get in now bec the economy is so bad everyone wants to join so they can eat!).
Anyway, thanks a lot! Really! You don't know what your kind words mean to me today.

Pheasants are ringneck/red gold X red gold. I have 3...super cute ! Can't wait to see what they look like when they get their color.

Ohh... you just wait... both of our red gold males are going on their 2nd year and are molting right now.... but their color is just starting to come back in and they are going to be gorgeous.

Eye Candy.

(I will get a close up of them when they finish up with this molt.)

I can never get a good pic of the black melanistic, though.... he is too danged nervous and won't stand still.

The silver is still very young and hasn't gotten his full color in.... plus I didn't get any eggs off of this pair this year....
He is so funny though... if he gets startled... he jumps about 2 foot straight into the air and kicks his feet about 3 times while in mid-air... LoL
Looks like he is doing karate.

He will eat from my hand.... the others won't.... I guess it's because we got him when he was still a baby.

The yellow gold is my favorite.... he is breath-taking... but his female died at the beginning of the summer and now we are on the lookout for a new mate.

Those birds are just beautiful!! Like song birds.

Pauletta, glad to hear your up for a new dog. A house without a dog is just too quiet and clean!

Is anybody interested in a side swap for Coturnix Quail eggs? I have 20+ 4-5 days old and newer (A lot more are fresher than 4 days.) I'd be interested in eggs or pay pal. Let me know if interested. I have enough cots running around right now. I thought be setting eggs that were 2+ weeks old, few would hatch; WRONG.
Gone. Thanks NotaFarm
