We have ours on trifaxis for fleas, worms, heart worms it was working well until this dry weather now we have fleas but it must be from the cats. Dh is going to spray outside the house soon, he treated the cats. The best way I get the fleas off the dogs is to give them a bath every few days. We didn't have any problems last year, it must be this weather.

trifexis is comfortis plus heatworm stuff, if you already have your dogs on heartworm stuff, like heartguard or proheart, just get the comfortis.

I agree. I was going to but the advitix and then the heart worm pill seperately but it was actually cheaper to buy the Trifexis that covers heatrt worms, fleas and 3 other types of yukky worms. 6 months $100 bucks. Since my other dog passed away from heart worms I just have to suck it up and do the right thing because we live next to minnow and catfish farms and the mosquitos are BAAAAAAD about 5 months out of the year. I went Branson, MO a few weeks back an never even saw a fly. What's up with that? LOL

Okay I just ordered and paid for (how do I say this without it coming out strange???) Chicken nipples for automatic watering. But I am going to use the floaters so I am going to put them up on my swap page if anyone needs them. I will do 12 a swap. But they won't be hear till Monday morning's mail.

One year we had them so bad whenever we walked out in the back yard they would jump all over your legs. There were millions in the yard! Our pets were covered in them. My daughter was getting constantly bit by them to the point we had to take her to see the doctor. They are attracted mostly to anything white and it must had been because her legs where so white. She never liked going outdoors and stayed white all summer. I did some research on the best way to get rid of them without using pesticides and you'd never believe what I found out! This is just one way of getting rid of them.

This sounds very far fetched and I thought, 'yeah, right', until I actually tried it! Add amethyst stones to all your pets drinking water. LOL

Here is a link containing more info about this. Start reading half way down the page.

[YEA] 06/06/2010: Kathy from Melbourne, Vic, Australia replies: "Yea - Didn't really believe it would work, but I had tried everything from teatree oil, flea collars, the tubes you squeeze on your dogs back - yet nothing seemed to get rid of my dogs fleas. I read the posts on amethyst and having some amethyst at home, decided to give it a try. I also gave my dog a wash with ACV (only once). I gave my dog a wash a week later, and was shocked to see not one flea. This was months ago now, and have been through the summer months without any more fleas!! My cats also share the same drinking water and they too are thriving without fleas. Can't believe it but it really does work."

Are the waterers push in or screw in?

They are the screw in kind.

Well I got one 50 gallon drum done today. Just super excited when I turned the water on and the float worked! They filled right up and stopped when the float was happy LOL. I got this idea from FOGELLY , the super dubber neighbor who gave me the barrels! It looks a little funny but it is located in the back of the pen. So now with the feeders done too I am ready for vacation!

The second photo I cut the wire in put in in between to runs so boths sides can drink out of one. The floater was 8.99.
