Well I went back outside and I finished the Peafowl Run and put a net over there run. So I am Done. They are happy campers. My 11 yr old son helped me since hubby won't help and thought sleeping was a better option.

This chick is 2 days old. The date on the camera is wrong. I took these pics today. Every pic I took the chick had the same "Glow" all around it. I tried it without flash, with more light and less light. It didn't matter but they all had the glow.

You know Gabrielle1976... I do love seramas? Haha now you got me thinking about them! Are they hens? Do you have pictures?

Need help making a decision.....

We had one chick hatch last week that has a bum leg. Silkie/Cochin cross. Beautiful girl! But she's almost hopping around on her leg more often than not (at least one missing toe and the others are a bit curled). Seems to be getting to and from the food and water and darts away from my hand in the brooder fast enough. She leans up against the new Orp chick for support.

If she is indeed a SHE, and she isn't taken on the swap page or on CL, we'd keep her. But I don't want to prolong the agony. If she can't get around the coop and run well enough, she won't make it. I'd rather cull her now than later.

So.....cull or not??

Ok ya'll... I lucked out at the chicken auction today and bought a cream brabanter roo for $4.00

I know I saw somebody recently post some pics of cream brabanters, that they had just purchased... I need to hatch out some hens for my roo... soo who has eggs? I would love to swap for them.. so whoever it was... if you want to swap with me... it would definately be greatly appreciated and It would make me very happy!

But until I get him some lovely brabanter hens... I might sneak him an ameraucana hen and make some funky chickens that lay colored eggs.
