Ohhhh they are soooo cute!!!
Nelson is the silkie Serama pen. Nelson and 1 hen are from June (silkieseramas.com) 2 hens are from Jerry.
The OB & Stuart pen are the same. I just named him Stuart one day. That is where the possible orange barred can come from. They are the smallest birds maybe A's and they all have numbered SCNA leg bands, I don't know if that means anything special. I got them from Randy Hall.
Jake is the tri colored frizzled Pixiechickens roo, from Juliette.
Lobo is from Laura @ castle delight.seramas spangled roo over smooth and frizzled hen.
Professor is blue barred over MF smooth hen & MF frizzled hen.
I can't wait until they feather out to see them.
Awesome job!!! Do you remember how many eggs you started with?

Awesome....

Started with 12. So GREAT HATCH !!

Chicks are hatching all over (6 yesterday and 3 last night) but one little thing pipped a couple days ago and made it's hole bigger and bigger. Looks like it tried to zip, making it about a 1/4 turn. It just sits there, peeping. I HATE culling, so I'm so afraid of helping. Help? Leave it?

The membrane might be dried out, you can take a qtip and use a little water to rewet it, it might be stuck

I cant ctach up with you people!!! IVE been so swamped for the past two weeks with life...I need calgon!!!!
I have 3 batches of TOLBUNT mixed huge eggs I can do side trades on...or 1 great side trade for all of them...The girls seem like they are on laying crack feed...I had around 24+ or 3 shipments I can split up;)
What I'm looking for is canning goodies...mixes really...or other neat canning things;)
Also looking for a scale to weigh food...I was just going to buy one last week but then thought maybe you guys might have one youndont use?? I'm sick of myncanning recipies saying 3 lbs of this or 8 lbs of that!!! Isnt there a conversion chart for all fruits and veggies into weights???? Lol
There is but weight is much better. I read a long article l recently about baking and how much better it is to weigh everything over a teaspoon. So get that scale, chop chop! I originally got one for weighing kittens when i was in rescue, its digital and very accurate. Now it also get used for weighing eggs and chicks and mail, its a one stop shop!.

I got my eggs from Mary Ruth yesterday, ty for the pheasants! I just missed out on some at an auction i little kid was bidding and looked at me with sad eyes, I couldn't take them away from him, lol.
So, question on tolbunt. I'm a chicken color ignoramus. Will mixed tolbunt throw some tolbunts and some others, or is it a mix of the 2?

And Judges, can you see if there are still veins in he membrane? Sometimes I can see there is no blood anymore and I help. I do staggered hatches, so the bator gets opened and closed and I get stuck chicks. I ALWAYS have blood stop powder on hand however, and douse the umbilicus if I help them just in case.

I know we have a lot of crafty folks on here.. I am hoping one of you gals can help me.. I bought a pair of crocheted house slippers for my daughter yrs ago... They were black and white cows. She worn them things till they literally fell off her feet.... Well... I would like to get her a new pair... Is there anyone on here that can make them?? I don't have a pattern...Saw one just like it on Ebay last yr.. but someone else bought it. The pattern was for adult size... The lady down sized the pattern for Mel so they would fit her feet... Soo the original pattern is for adults.

Thanks,
renie

:lau   I guess you showed him!!  :lau

It was soooo hard not to say I told you so. But I didn't. I'm so grateful we were already across the highway, it could have been tragic. But I think like Pauletta I am going to check that it is strapped down properly, without telling him each time.

Ohh great b-day gift, tie downs for the truck. His b-day is Saturday.

Oh yeah. Girl we were going down a hill and coming to a stop light . Not only did it come off the hitch it skidded passed us to on coming traffic. All the traffic came to a stop, though the light turned green, just to see what was gonna happen. But the tounge finally dug into the asphalt enough to come to a stop. People got out of their trucks to help us hitch it. So we no longer use an S hook with the safety chains, we use those industrial hiking clips and I make sure he remembers the cotter pin. But honestly I know he was exhausted and it was over 100 degrees but felt like 150 out there. Mistakes happen. I am grateful no one got hurt. Bikes can be replaced.
