After thinking a little bit about it, I guess some might get upset about the PayPal because it is usually grabbed so fast that others don't get a chance to claim the eggs that are offered. If that is the case, putting a time limit before items other than eggs could be offered (say 12 hours?) would work. Just a thought.

Maybe not on the Designer Egg Chain, but what about the Show Quality egg chain? Or when I reopen the Cream Legbar (and other autosexing breeds) egg swap. I would be pretty put out if someone claimed my eggs then offered $10 Paypal when I sell my eggs for $8 each.

Cjwaldon: I have a question I looked at your autosexing swap. Aren't Favorell kinda like autosexing since they can be verified by what sex they are within 2 weeks. Even serama after 3-4 weeks you know what they are. Just though I would ask. I can't participate cause I don't have any autosexer's unless those 2 breeds are considered autosexing.

Same here...unless you count hybrid layers as sex-links.

Autosexing breeds show their gender characteristics upon hatch. You can choose to cull the males immediately (or keep them). This characteristic breeds true generation after generation. With sex-linked hybrids, you must maintain flocks of both parent breeds and the offspring will not breed true (i.e., you cannot tell gender if you breed sex-links together). Salmon Faverolles and Wheaten Ameraucanas you have to grow out two to three weeks in order to distinguish gender. I haven't had Seramas so I'm just guessing that they just grow quickly? Or is there something unique between genders?

Yeah the serama you can sex between 3-4 weeks of age because the males start to grow a red comb early on. By cull you mean sell. I don't know if I could kill a baby chick just cause it was a male and I didn't want any males. I know cull can mean differant things. lol

Sadly some people do kill male chicks they find it a waste of resources to grow them out I guess becuase rooster meat is gameyer and tougher. I just cringe thinking about it. I think its awful .. sorry your a boy lets toss you in a plastic bag with hundreds of your felllow boys and let you suffcate slowly in fear and pain

. To me there is little diffrence between that and places where the women get ultrasounds and abort any girls or even kill there female infants becuase its more prestigous and all that stupid crap to have boys..
