NEW MEMBERS MUST BE A BYC MEMBER FOR 3 MONTHS TO PARTICIPATE, HOWEVER THEY MUST SHIP THEIR ITEM WITH VERIFIED CONFIRMATION BEFORE THE ITEM CLAIMED WILL BE SENT TO THEM. NEW MEMBERS CAN ONLY ACCEPT ONE SWAP AT A TIME AND MUST SEND THAT ITEM WITH CONFIRMATION BEFORE THEY CAN CLAIM ANOTHER ITEM. ONCE THE NEW MEMBER HAS SENT 4 ITEMS, THEY MAY PARTICIPATE WITHOUT RESTRICTION. SEE BELOW FOR HOW TO CLAIM AND VERIFY SHIPMENT OF YOUR ITEM. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS RULE WILL RESULT IN BEING BANNED FROM SWAPPING.

From the rules on page 1. I take "NEW MEMBERS" to be new to the swap. I guess that needs to be clarified. I think the intent was to keep new swappers from accepting a bunch of swaps and then disappearing without following through on sending items.​

not sure about the rules.. someone with more brain power will have to clarify.. but doesn't matter.. I am missing some good stuff

cause I was GREEDY at the beginning of the week and claimed good stuff.. now I am out of swaps till the week starts over..

No, I do think when the words "NEW MEMBER" are being used it truly means a new member to BYC and NOT to the swap thread.

At this point and time I think things will be fine as they are unless Ann says different.

Not sure if it matters but I have been swapping with BYC members just not on this thread. I have worked out my trade with everyone except the person who claimed my Barred Rocks, still waiting on the info of where to send them, I will refrain from anymore swaps until these all get completed. Thanks for every ones help.

This rule has been there from the beginning of the swap and is meant as in a new member to BYC. I had to follow this when I first started swapping because I had not been a BYC member long enough and I started with the swap when corancher opened the thread. If it meant anyone new to the swap - no one would have been able to swap right away because we were all "new members" to the swap. There was conversation towards the beginning of the swap that answered this question. I'm sure someone could look back and find it, but its Friday night and well hey!

John I don't think this is a hugh issue. Really. You are a wonderful person and very trust worthy. It's just some people do not now you. And there are so many rules.
I personnally think it will be okay. Everyone correct me if I am wrong. PS I commend you for the work you do with the children and the camp. Once you have sent the item email the person the confirmation and or put it on the Whatya got to swap CHAT thread. Nothing bad was intended. We have had a few people in the past swap 3-6 times and we are all still waiting for those items. It is frustrating because this is a good faith thread. You just swap on friend.
