Mine!
In addition to what is on my swap page,I have to go to IKEA sometime in the next week, so I can offer the kids' dishes set
Or, DH says I have too many blown eggs(I say that is not possible!
), so choose a dozen blown eggs. Each has 1 small hole, mostly in the large end (some I couldn't tell!
) Most are pullet eggs, but they are a range of sizes. The middle ones are green and olive (they are a little washed out in the photos) I also have a couple of small, light blues that haven't come out of the oven yet, from my Ameraucanas that started laying last week.![]()
Have you seen the garden thing where people use eggs with the top cute off to plant seeds or put little sports ect in? You fill them ith soil then use them like those little trays or pots ect. You can then when your ready to plant gently crack the shells a little and plant the whole thing I think ?? Then you woudnt have to many blown eggs. Also christmas is comeing an dif you were to decorate 6 eggs or so and offer as a swap I bet all of us chicken people would go for it.
If only that were the case!
These are only a drop in the bucket of what I have on the shelves! Yes, I have heard about starting tomatoes in eggshells, and it is an interesting idea. Maybe next year if I grow more plants for farmers' market, I'll sell the by the egg carton.![]()

You guys are a tough crowd. If anyone is just looking for pretty eggs and is willing to wait a couple weeks for them to get a little size on the eggs, I can offer 10+ eggs from my Ameraucana, EE, OE pen. I have 4 Blue/Splash Wheaten Ameraucana pullets, 2 EE pullets (hatched from HenThymes' eggs), and 1 OE pullet (also from HenThymes' eggs) covered by 3 Blue/Splash Wheaten Ameraucana cockerels, and one OE cockerel (from HenThymes' eggs). A couple of the Ameraucana pullets have snuck into my spare Swedish Flower Hen roos cage, too, and at least 2 of the Ameraucanas hatched from pink eggs. Should be lots of shades of blue, green and olive eggs and who knows what else. The Ameraucanas just started laying a week or two ago and the EEs and OE have been laying a for 5-6 weeks. I have some pictures on my profile page, though several weeks old. I have new ones I'll try to update sometime today.![]()
