what you do if power goes out.....

Alot of us are not able to afford a gernerator ! I do think you could put them in the gas oven with a bowl of hot water and open now and then to put fresh air in. I was also thinking about using one of those warming dishes that you put cans of sterno under to keep warm and a dish of water for HUM. Hum is so important here in Montana as it is sooooo dry (even when it is snowing).

I do think you could be pretty creative as from hearing of a person hatching eggs in a skillet or heating pad , I guess anything is possible.

These eggs are sometimes more resilent than we think as they encounter some tough conditions even when under mommy.

My DH said he use to hatch duck eggs 20 years ago and paid very little attention to them and they just made it. He said he got at least 50 % hatches, knowing none of the stuff we know now. He even said that he only turned them every couple of days !
