What your fav turkey Breed

Mine is burbon reds but I love my six baby BBbronze. I would post a picture but don't have one.

We have Bourbon Red, Black Spanish & Royal Palm turkeys and I'm kinda torn now between the BR's and the RP's.

There is a Bourbon Red pic on our BYC page.

Oh ya and the Avatar. I forgot that one, I just put it up there today. lol

Actually there is only one breed of Turkey, the Turkey. Bourbon Red, Narragansett, etc are Varieties of the Turkey breed.
 
Eastern Wilds that are in the wild are my favorites. I just like turkeys so really no preference on breed in domestics though I do lean toward the heritage breeds.

Yes.

Our favorite `varietals' out enjoying a bit of `mock' spring, yesterday. Our neighbor's huge Bourbon tom was stolen from their front yard a year before we committed. A news story about hunters in an adjacent county blasting someone's poor `Naris' also factored into our decision to go with Slates and RPs.
