Chicken pot pie and apple pie on the smoker tonight. This was the last of our home grown apples and the last of the extra roosters I butchered this summer.

It was. The apple pie was a little short for my deep dish pan but it was all I had on hand. This year was the first harvest from trees I planted 2 years ago when we bought this house. Hopefully next year I’ll get a lot more.

Tuscan salmon for dinner, which is basically salmon in a creamy spinach sauce with sun dried tomatoes. Rice pilaf and broccoli. Always a salad.

I'm thawing out a food storage container that was in the freezer, and I'm not exactly sure what it is. If it looks edible it will probably be supper.
