I just read and followed my Ball canning book. Now I better double check.That is good to know. I just follow how my granny did them. I was a kid the last time I saw her doing any canning/freezing.
My favorite! I believe it’s called FRED by the scouts, but I could be wrong. Without the veggies (of courseI made potato mess for dinner. It looks awful, but tastes good.
Fry up some sausage or bacon (I used sausage tonight)
Sautee garlic and onion in the grease, add potatoes and veggie of choice (I add broccoli) and whatever spices you want.
Cook until potatoes are tender
Add whisked egg and cook until egg is done.
Put on plate if you want, or not. Eat.
Ham & potato soup (just finished making it).
