Tacos for dinner tonight![]()
Dang that sounds so nice and fresh! I’m going to try it, thanks for sharing!Yes!! I can get it made before the water is boiling for the pasta.
1 quart of home canned tomatoes, drained, or same size can from the store
1/3-1/2 onion
1 clove garlic
1 TBS olive oil (I don't measure, I just us a small "glug")
1/2 tsp salt
1 scant tsp oregano
1 slightly heaping tsp basil
Put everything in a blender. Blend for about 20-30 seconds. (I use the "sauce" button.)
Heat in a sauce pan; my husband likes it at room temp, so he just pours it over the cooked pasta. He likes the "bite" of the raw onion.
