I ordered wienerschnitzel at a restaurant in Leavenworth, WA years ago and was disappointed when I was served breaded, pan fried slices of meat. I was expecting something that looked more like a cased sausage. LOL

I thought the pounded and breaded pork loin was just called schnitzel. That's what my recipe calls it. Think maybe they mislabeled it?

The chain is not really German food. It's a hot dog stand. At least in California it is. It's called Der Weinerschnitzel.
