LOL, Bee! I have had much more 'fowl' creatures besides quail! They are actually very low maintenance, and I have never noticed an odor.......although, I guess the smell from the geese covers it up!

if u don't keep them in the house and use apple cider vinigar in their water u'll have no probs. they r messy and wasteful of food though, i had to make special feeders and waterers for them but button quails r the worst! coturnix and bobwhites are alot of fun to raise.
