Maybe everyone is waiting for the big super swap tommorow. Is it going to be the same as far as the value of what you take should be about the same as what you put up ??? I think that is a good rule to follow. I don't however know about the value of plants and herbs. How much do you think they are worth?? Like the ones up for grabs now.. a start of orgeno and thyme. I want to be fair and have fun too. Thanks Livia

HI, I keep checking in when I can and always miss the things I would grab. lol I ws curious if it would help if people posted the value of the items they put up?
for instance I too have no clue what starts of herbs would run.
I know around here, the size starts I have been sending are worth any where from 3 (for really small) to 10 for the larger bunches of herb starts. Not sure about other parts of the country.
I think that is one thing that is worrying everyone, the fair value issue. You can't know what something like a plant cutting is worth, because the value is to the person who is taking it. I think as long as we put up something that is not junk or broken we would be ok. Alright, I just heard that,, what do we consider junk,,,, one person's junk is another man's treasure. Junk to me is a broken item that I don't want around or an item that is missing pieces like the left over 3 cups from what used to be a gorgeous punch bowl set. Get my drift?
If we see something like plant starts we really want, I say go for it, and whatever you have to offer, offer. In the matter of more obviously valuable items we have to take into consideration we would be pushing up the value everytime we traded after that, we have to be willing to bring the value down again.
For instance: necklace $20, ok, trade ring $25, trade bracelet $30 get my idea? Somewhere someone will have to bite the bullet and say eggs $10. Remember I'm saying the value not that it is being sold.
Are these like what you get in the garden areas of like Lowes, Home Depot or Wlamart. Basil, oregano, etc. Those are a couple dollars each here in Ca. Are we talking the same thing?
