What's a good divider for the incubator to separate chicks

That's interesting, will have to make a trip to the craft store....what kind of bator does that fit into?

I only have the old dome incubators, so every thing was scissor cut to fit that. Back then, the standard plastic canvas was in rectangle sheets. I don't know what bator you are using, but can only assume that a divider could be cut to fit just about any situation (the self turning types may be that exception?). Best wishes.

I have had foamies(metal mesh worked for that).
Now have an Incuview, curved plastic lid, hard to fit and don't want to scratch lid up.
It actually has plastic mesh in the bottom(which is too small IMO),
will get some 5 count mesh and play with it.
Dividers will only go in at lock down, so turner comes out at the point, should work well.

I made one out of HC for my foamy, cut notches to fit around fan and heaters.
it wasn't quite flat so pinned high corners down thru sides of bator with straight sewing pins at an angle.
It worked pretty good.

In these photos-AARt is keeping track of the air cells- is this for positioning the eggs at lockdown or for general info on the healthy of development?
Also- what color egg is that on the right? taupe? What type of chicken lays that? Thanks

I track air cell size to adjust humidity.

Cool. Looks caramel in the photo. I had a chicken last year lay 3 golden eggs, but then I dont know what happened..never had a 4th... maybe she is the one we lost, or colour changed.

I am very big on spending ZERO dollars on things like this.

I made dividers out of cardboard, from all those amazon purchases over the past year. My incubator is much taller, so I rigged divider like you'd see in a box that holds 12 bottles of wine. I cut the centres out for air flow and replaced with some nylon mesh (deer netting/bird netting) that I had, but you can use the mesh from your avacaodos, or mandarin oranges, or use old pantyhose. Just raid your recycling and craft bins. Nothing will melt at 100 degrees. Cardboard is free and as you use it, you will modify and replace with new and better designs, so it doesn't need to last years.
To attach the mesh to the cardboard duct tape works great, or any other type of tape, hot glue or even staples.
