im thinking about getting 2 ducks, a pekin drake and i don't know what other breed to get; welsh harlequin, cayuga, or rouen. What would be the pest partner for a pekin? And is it ok to get 2 drakes and keep them together if their going to be raised from duckling.

I have Pekins,Cayugas,Mallards, Anconas,Runners all together. I think if you are only going to have 2, I would get something from either medium class or large class so it doesn't get squished by the big pekin [IMG] JMO
I would say it really is whatever you prefer to get out of those choices you listed. Yes, people do have just drakes together...but I have drakes and hens and have no experience on it so maybe someone who does will post as well.
I think you will love your ducks [IMG] no matter what breed!

I agree with the comment above about choosing a medium or heavy weight bird, though if you're getting two males it won't matter so much as hopefully they won't be trying to mate with each other! I think a cayuga might be nice, for the contrast between the white and black [IMG]
