What's a "wiki"?

I got an email saying that someone commented on my "wiki". What's a "wiki"? Animal? Vegetable? Mineral? Where is my wiki and what do I do with it?

A "wiki" is a collaborative article where one or many can edit.

The pages / articles system we have here on BYC was built on a wiki platform, but we use it as an articles / pages system. In some cases on BYC the term "wiki" is still used (like in email notifications) but we're working to get that changed.
