what's everyone's hallowen plans?

We dont really do anything for Halloween. The kids get to Trick Or Treat at the grandparents' houses while mom and dad chat. Maybe DH will go to a halloween party with me someday but he's really not into dressing up in a costume so I dont know when that will be.

Ugh. Don't like Christmas. If it wasn't so important to my family, I'd spend it camping. As it is I already skip out on Thanksgiving, and there's as much grumbling about that as I'm willing to stand.

Don't get me wrong, my family has great Christmases . . . there's just absolutely nothing relaxed about it, and I have a nervous temperament. For some reason Halloween is always a more laid back holiday, even when you make a big deal of it.

now that is very true..but i love christmas decorations, getting the tree..baking christmas treats, passing out cards..drinking cider etc.

I no longer feel obligated. the best year of all was when we just got on a plane and spent Christmas in Cancun. Getting a massage on the beach on Christmas day is my idea of a holiday.

I love Halloween too! We have the grandkids out for pumpkin carving and roast the seeds. I try to make up all sorts of creepy treats. Last year we did the mummy wrap race with toilet paper and a scavanger hunt around the farm. Bobbing for apples too. Over on the recipe threads I've started a thread for Halloween treats and things. Please post your Halloween recipes there for all of us!! I love new ideas to try! Thanks!

Cooking for Days getting ready for a huge feast, where our loved ones that have passed on will be celebrated , huge bonfire , Divination, Tarot, Brewing up some Wassail and Having a HUGE 4 hour ritual with many friends coming in from all over the country..... I love this time of year... Happy Halloween everyone and a Blessed Samhain too.... Samhain/Halloween is a huge holiday at our house

We have a community Halloween party. Eat hot dogs, chips sweets etc....Then we all load up on trailers pulled by 4wheelers or tractors and trick or treat the local houses. (We call it the hayless ride---so many children are allergic to hay....) It is great fun and safe.....We live in the country....

By the way I love Halloween..... I decorate with all kinds of pumpkins and I have a scarecrow that looks like (kinda) DH,DS and I......oh we have so much fun........
