The family will go to our Church Parking lot for a 'trunk or treat'.

Our neighborhood is CLOSING off our street (Halloween is big on our street)

After two great shows and two more to go we will be seeing Pearl Jam! Closing show at the Spectrum Philly on Halloween Nite. We will no doubt be rocking the historic venue till 2am. Sad to see it go...

If the weather is good we drive out to grandma's place since she has sidewalks and low traffic.If the weather is bad we stock up on candy,and stay home to watch scarey movies. Dh is on his way home(driver) and it is sounding to me like he has the flu,so hopefully we won't all be feverish and puking by the weekend.

sat is our trick or treating but it is to rain that day so me and my sister are hosting our anual party at her house tomarrow. we r having lots of friends and family over and haveing a party and a haunted woods.

everyone is comeing over for slopy joes and munchies, i'm makeing part of the yummies. mine r eyeball deviled eggs, homemade marshmellow peeps in orange and purple, candy apples and cupcakes.

she is making other halloween themed yummies too.

we have activities for the 4 little ones to do while the big kids go outside for the haunted woods. dh, me and my brother and some others r going to be scaring the kid's,lol. last 2 days we took clothes stuffed them with newspaper so we had dead bodies, some of them r creepy and look real!

today and tomarrow i have to go over finish getting things set up. so this is the plan, my sister will be the guide and they have to follow a map around her house to go through the woods to like scenes(there is about 12 scenes) some will have our paper dummies and some will really be us and some of us have 2 jobs to do. so one stop my hubby is the junk yard man and has junk laying around and dummy pieces, one is a 4 wheeler with a dummy wrecked into a tree, one is a grave yard and me and my hubby r skelatons that sit up out of leaves in the graves. i'm also father time(lol i was the only one could fit the costume) i get to walk around sneaking behind them throwing acorns near them and freaking them out something is out there and then a couple times i come out so they see some old man is following them and pointing the path they need to follow. there is an alien scene where an alien flies through the air at them. there is also going to be a camping site and my bil is going to be a body with like 3 dummies to freak them out there. my sister is also going to be the storey teller before the kid's come out, my brother is going to be the wearwolf that breaks his chains off the tree runs to the dummy and pulls it's gutts out like he is ripping it appart. when he does he is gonna throw pumpkin guts out towards them(it is hideing in a bowl inside the belly).

my fil is gonna be down the drive and they will walk up on his truck and he is gonna set up and hit the panic button on the truck as they take off running to the house my brother is gonna rip off a chain saw to scare them all in the house.

it is gonna be a blast better than last year i can't wait. all our kid's tell us we r old and no fun.

we scared one in the house crying last year.

i can't wait to see how scared they r this year,lol. we r doing a ton of stuff to get ready for this so my hope is they love it more this year than they did last year and have tons of fun.

so after they all come in for treats we have games for all of them to play and some of the games have prizes for them and the last part of their map brings them in the house where they r gonna find a chest full of candy apples for all of them also. while they all play games together the adults can regroup and hang out and talk while we watch them have fun and munch on more yummies,lol.

we love halloween it is a family time for our family full of loads of fun, creativity, good homemade yummies and best of all laughter and shareing joy will our big family. i can't wait for fri!!

Orange sauce on cake and brownies with chocolate cake sounds like dinner to me!

i don't know what u could do with hamburgers but for our kid's we do hot dogs sometimes. sometimes they r made to look like octapuses, mummies, toes things like that,lol. for a cake u could do choc with orange iceing and colored sprinkles on top dribbled with choc too. brownies with halloween sprinkles would be cute too or colored orange crispy treats.

I'm having my whole softball team over for a Halloween/Slumber party! Yes, eleven adolecent girls in a 1200 sq ft house! My wife bribed the team with a slumber party early in the season, so of course coach had to make good on momma's promise...lol Any way, I think it will be a good time...I just feel sorry for my son!
