ok, so i got duck eggs from the farm. I think they should know whats duck eggs and whats chicken eggs. And they are much bigger than chicken eggs I would say. But anyway today is day 21. the eggs have been developing really good, all of them when I candle them but it is only day 21 and one of the eggs keeps moving! Like last night it was lying horizontal and when I woke up it was lying vertical. I am so worried. Well, wouldn't they of died already if they were chicken eggs because I didn't put them on lock down? But I turned them last night again and nope, the egg is still moving. When i candle the egg, though the bird doesn't look 21 days. The whole egg is filled with a greyish mass, can't really see the veins and you see the air sac. I am pretty sure they aren't chicken eggs or they probably would have died from no lock down or hatched already. I am so confused and worried. Why do you think this is happening this early. There due date to hatch was next week and now they are moving!

Last year I was given a dozen eggs by the lady I bought two ducks from. She just picked them up form nests around the yard. A few of them had already started developing. I could see viens in them as soon as they were in the iincubator. I would guess either the same kind of thing has happened- or you do have a chicken in there.

Eggs can still hatch even if not in lockdown - the chicks/ ducklings just have a much tougher job ahead of them.

It wouldn't hurt to put a damp cloth over the moving one for a while incase it is hatching. Just make sure it's as near a fan as possible, or a vent hole, stop the others getting too moist.

Good luck!
