Hi!
I learn so much from this group but don't have enough knowledge to really help anyone else, so here I am again with a problem I'm hoping someone can give me some advice on. Peep had a TINY like pin head-ish bit of blood on her beak around this same spot about a month ago. It didn't seem like it was a big deal and figured she just scratched it tooling around under some bushes or something. Now it's looks like this and it's worrying me. Do I need to take her to a vet? Is there something I can do? I'm posting pictures of what her face looked like before and you will see the difference in the other photos. Right where her beak meets her face there is what looks like black sores. Not sure what to do. :( She is such a sweet girl.

Doesn't look like Fowl Pox.
It may be from scraping it on wire or a feeder. Also possible it's a Papilloma.
I would not really do anything about it but just monitor it.
If you feel you must put something on it, then use triple antibiotic ointment or a little antiseptic.
