What's happening to my straw berries?

Hello, I have a growing method for my strawberries where I grow them in 4 inch sewer pipes. This has worked for years, but this year I m habing problems with the leaves drying out. The soil is moist and cool, but the leaves are literally crunchy.
Anyone know what happening?

any way you can post a pic? I grow strawberries and it sounds like your plants could have leaf blight or leaf scorch.

then perhaps you can google those two terms to see photos; it may help you to determine what's going on with the leaves.

Welcome to BYC... You have to have a certain number of posts before the site will allow you to post pics. Have you checked them for spider mites???
