Oh....lol.....Seen that .....

well I dont blame you there but I dont think its a worm, I believe it to be a dried chalaza
Ok that's what I thought maybe too. It was attached to the yolk, I pulled it off too inspect it. I've only had chickens about 4 months, and I'm learning. I've been watching for worms in poop, not seen any. That's why this freaked me out. I will definitely be getting more de wormer at our local feed store. Acv works as a preventive? Btw, I LOVE this site!

LOL :welcome No avc does not work as a wormer that I am aware of .

No is right...ACV does not prevent worms and neither will DE. AND neither will cure worm.
The BEST thing to so is collect some fresh poop and bring it to the nearest vet, yes even a dog vet, and have it tested...AT LEAST once a year...maybe twice.
It is very cheap...maybe 10 bucks.
They can tell you if and what kind of worms you have, so you don't treat them unnecessarily.

Keep an open mind and don't believe EVERYTHING that you read on the web. Most all of the older members here have been there and done that, and can offer good advice.
You will do just fine as a chicken mom!
