What's in your backyard?

We have lots of huge Osage Orange (hedge) trees, fruit trees, a persimmon orchard, lots of berries, a big chicken coop, a corn crib converted to a chicken coop, runs, a kennel, a one-car garage, an old block shed, a big pole barn, lots of kids toys, huge firewood stacks, a big garden, flower beds, and tons of bluebird boxes. We also have a huge population of rabbits and quail and a family of 5 deer.

Tiny back yard......besides the coop........dogs. Big dogs. 1 Aussie, 1 Lab, 1 Great Pyrenees. Lots of dirt, not much grass and some lovely deep holes. Trees ring the yard but they are in the neighbor's yards.

My girls are just finally out of the hutch to be official yard birds. I can't help but notice they are drawn to the junkiest part of the yard. Here it is, junk, yard birds, ducks, and a real junk yard dog. (In the background, the blue ridge mountains.)

. An abandoned rail road grade (Shawmut). Then it goes further out and I have two barns with paddocks that lead to two fields and then woods and game lands. We have had some interesting animal visitors over the years. Just this late spring we had a beaver in our back yard!

Fenced lot for 5 of our 7 dogs, coturnix hutch outside of it sheltered by a canopy of trees that form a nice quiet wooded area of at least 2 acres, divided by a creek, springs, & a 4 wheel drive path excellent for walking in the evenings. Old barn, now a shelter for a family of barred owls, lol.

Husbands darn-it Shop.

old airstream trailer- used as a dog house for Larry, DHs rescue tracking hound. Was supposed to be a chicken house.
And 2.46 acres of woods.
Bigfoot! I run to the house at night. I just know he is back there.
