I have an egg that I am 90% certain has gone bad. My hen began sitting on the large brown egg 8 days ago. I candeled it today and saw two stationary dots surrounded by a red ring. There are no visible blood vessels. The area around the dots is cloudy and dark. I want to crack this egg open to see if I am wrong. My concern is that the egg would be full of disgusting rot. I want to learn, not throw up or have it explode in my face!

Whenever I get an egg like that, I toss it....fully intact. I would imagine if it has been only eight days you should be able to crack it open and not wear it though.
