What's my chickens gender

Ok I mean that I have an Americana and she purrs and roosters purr and hens lay eggs. Also she lays an egg once a month should I be worried about that to?

Pictures of this chicken? Roosters crow. But it's definitely a hen if it lays.

Roosters and hens make all the same sounds, minus crowing.
And male chickens never lay eggs.
