What's on your Mind Thread—2026

Have you tried daily magnesium glycinate or magnesium threonate for prevention?
I used to take migravent a while ago but it didnt really help 😭🤣 and I’m on a bunch of medications now which usually work great but lately, the last like 2-3 weeks, it’s been really bad. I think it’s stress.

Aw, I’m so sorry! Migravent has magnesium oxide and magnesium citrate (both have poor bioavailability, i.e. not absorbed well through the GI tract but are less expensive to produce). The other 2 formulations have better migraine/neuro response…might be worth a try!

Hope you feel better soon, and may the stress fall off you like water on a duck’s back! ☺️

Thank you!!!!!! That’s a good idea!!!!!! 🥰

I've heard that like 50 percent of people may be deficient in magnesium. I haven't gotten my vitamin/minerals levels checked (though I'm curious about what they'd be), but I started taking magnesium glycinate.
Magnesium is considered an “Essential Mineral” (not a vitamin). It is excreted by the kidneys and not stored in the body. Many of us, especially with our modern diets, will be deficient. It is difficult to get too much orally, so supplementation will usually benefit.
