What's on your Turkey-Day Menu?

Sameeeee
Though I think of them as more of a summer food. I suppose having lemon bars on the Thanksgiving spread is a nice way to lighten up what would normally be a very heavy meal.
Yessss, I agree! It's making me want it too now lol. I also love lemon poppy-seed bread too 😋

Oooh wow! I've never tried making stuffing from scratch before, I bet it's tasty😋
It isn't hard. You can either get prepared bread or just dry a loaf out yourself for a couple days and crumble it. Then just add your favorite seasoning and things to it, shove it in the bird, and voila!

Oooh really? I guess just assumed it was hard lol😅. I'll have to try it out then, thanks!

I cheat. The grocery stores around us carry bags of cubed bread from the bakery and I'll start with that. You can usually get them either plain or seasoned, it's up to you. My mix is bread, eggs, celery, onion, diced apples, Scarborough fair (parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme), a few other mixed herbs and spices, 2 sticks of butter, and chicken stock. You sweat the celery and onions with half the butter, add all the seasoning to the stock with the other half of the butter, and then mix. Takes maybe 30 min to prep. I put half in the bird and half I just bake for an hour in a casserole dish so people can choose which they prefer (the in-bird is WAY better).

Dangg that sounds so good!!! That's actually not that long to make either, I'm surprised. I'm definitely trying this, thank you!!!
Orrrrrrrrr

Lemon meringue pie.

Just sayin'
I've never had lemon meringue pie before! Is it better you think?

I am biased. Lemon Meringue is my favorite pie. It's more work than lemon bars, but you can usually find a local bakery making htem and go that route. I do not like the frozen marie calendar version. It's got to be fresh.

If you're a fan of tart / sweet flavors (like a strawberry rhubarb pie), you will very probably enjoy this.

Oh wow favorite.....it must be good! My Mom is a very good cook, I'm sure she'll help me make one lol. It sounds delicious though!

Oh yeah, that's me for sure. Thanks for the recommendation!
