Hi guys and gals! It's nice to meet you all.
I've been researching keeping bird in my yard, and my searches keep leading me here. So here I am!
I was originally looking in to quail for eggs, but had two 3 month old pekin ducks pretty much fall in my lap. One male and one female that where hand raised as pets. I've actually found hanging out with them quite relaxing in the afternoon.
I'm an avid gardener, so I'll be looking in to what I can grow for them. Any suggestions for that would be helpful. I live in Florida, zone 9b. So far they've seemed to enjoy just burying their faces in the yard.
I'm looking in to getting more ducks as the whole reason was for eggs to eat. We have 4 adults and 2 young boys to feed.
Anywho, the sun is coming up, time to tend the garden. I'll be poking around here when I have time. I really enjoyed the mix breed duck thread. Some really beautiful mixes in there. I look forward to chatting with you folks later.
