Muscovies' red, bumpy mask things are called caruncles. I think they are more pronounced in males than females, and get bigger as the bird ages.

She KNEW she was pretty. The girl I got her from won a blue ribbon with her at the fair, so I guess she earned the right to be a little arrogant.

I live in a suburban neighborhood. The houses are really close together and I SWEAR she was the LOUDEST DUCK ON THE PLANET!

My other 6 ducks put together could not come close to make as much noise as her

Fortunately her daughter didn't inherit her mom's noise making ability.
