I am looking for the top 10 most broodiest breeds of chickens. 10 of Bantam breeds and 10 of standard breeds.
If there is a specific color or section in that breed that is more broody than the others in its breed please let me know.
I am looking for some good broodies to help incubate some of my eggs.

Let the thinking begin....

I love my bantam cochins. They're hatchery birds that I bought to act as broodies, and they're doing exactly what I want them to. Plus they're so darn cute!

They hatched October of last year, and two have hatched and raised batches so far... one hatched our bantam cochin eggs, the other just random eggs from my flock. My third pullet is setting a batch of eggs right now, and is sitting tight. I'm really pleased with them, especially since they're so young.

And when they're not broody, all 3 of them lay an egg nearly every day. Can't beat that!

All my standard Partridge Cochins have gone broody several times this year where my blacks haven't, only one blue has and my splash hasn't either.
My white bantam Cochins have only gone broody one time each but my white Silkie hen stays on the nest it seems and the black will follow her lead but my blue hen has not ever.
With my Araucanas I have a black hen that has gone broody a few times but not any of my whites or the splashes but one duckwing has attempted it but failed both times.
My Salmon Faverolles have not gone broody at all but I know someone that wants to get rid of hers because they are always broody.

Okay, that isn't exactly what you wanted to know but I am just trying to point out that not all birds act the same regardless of color or breed. You just never know.........
