So far Silkies and my Banty Cochins have been great. But Shamo are the absolute best broodies in the world. My girl Misha would raise 5 batches of chicks a year for me if I let her. She has brooded three times so far this year (I let her raise one batch and broke her the other two times) and her half sister twice. They make incredible mamas.
