These little buggers are everywhere! The stuff they sell at the stores don't seem to work!

Jack Russell Terrier or any Terrier for that matter. My Pit Bull TERRIERS have dug up and killed ALL of our moles, and we used to trip over a mole run every 4 feet or so. Borrow someones terrier dog for mole patrol

The only downfall to that is they bring them to you as a present for an attaboy pat on the head

This REALLY happened to my friend last year! Cat brought the dead mole in and laid it on her chest while she was sleeping!!

Treat your yard for grubs. that it their main food. they go where the food is. moles are acually good for the soil It is a better option than killing them

I've heard of placing Wrigley's Spearmint gum, foil and all, in their tunnels. Says it kills them when they eat it! Also heard of placing moth balls in their tunnels to deter them from returning....my mom tried this and she said they just make more tunnels.

I have a dog and a cat that are most effective on moles but I realize this is a drastic move just to get rid of some moles. I could rent-a-dog if you lived closer!

I can always tell when our cats have been successful. The DW will let out a scream that can be heard for miles when she goes in the bathroom at night. The cats either place the catch/kill in the tub or right on the rug in front of the commode. The DW will either step on it in the dark or hear it in the tub, because it is not quite dead yet. I never get a full nights sleep in the summer, for I have to check out the bathroom for her.

Treating the yard for grubs sounds like an excellent idea. But dont they also eat earthworms? Ive been amending my gardens so its earth-worm friendly, but Im afraid I made it mole friendly too.

They are destroying my daylilies. Not that they eat the roots, but they tunnel right under them, and when I find a daylily doing poorly, I dig under and find a big run and the daylily roots hanging in air. The only way I think I can fix that is to make a wire cage out of hardwarecloth for each daylily to put in the ground and plant the daylily in the wire planter.

What a pain in the patoot!!
