What's The best Ways To Breed Iowa Blues With Different Breeds?

Hello, Iowa Blue peoples.
I'm limited on chicken breeds I have available, for Iowa Blue breeding, & would like to start sometime.

Here's a chick that I hatched awhile ago, the cross I used was Buff Orpington/Barred Rock X Rhode Island Red.View attachment 1914766

With all due respect, the best answer I can provide is - DON'T DO IT!
Why would you want to take a rare and desired breed and make mutts out of the offspring?
Work with what you have and acquire more Iowa Blues when the opportunity arises.
I think Sandhill Preservation has them.

IMHO, none of the resulting birds can legitimately be called Iowa Blues.

I don't want to make mutts. I want to figure out what genes of what breeds are actually responsible, & solve the mystery is all.
I don't own Iowa Blues, but want to recreate them with help.

OK, I get you. I misunderstood the question.

I think if I was going to endeavor an extreme undertaking like that I would try to recreate Lamonas. No one claims to still have them.
People already have Iowa Blues so they don't really need to be recreated.
