whats the deal with fresno, ca?

Im trying to understand what the local law for chickens in fresno is supposed to be. Ive heard people saying they keep chickens there legally and some who are saying that chickens are definitely not allowed. As you may know, fresno is known for agriculture and such so I dont know why chickens wouldnt be allowed. if someone who lives in the area or knows anything about it can clarify it for me then that would be great!

I've been through Fresno a bunch of times, id be really surprised if chickens were illegal to have over there. Gilroy was like that for a while too. I would check the city's local laws and ordinances, should be pretty easy to find on Google. Just search "are chickens allowed in Fresno, ca?" There is also a link around this site somewhere that shows most local ordinances. I'd provide both links, but I'm in front of a store to buy more supplies for my brood! I'll get back to you in about an hour if no one else has replied.

Update: There are a bunch of districts within Fresno, and they all have different ordinances. It looks like a few prohibit owning chickens.
