What's the difference??

I bought a bag of oats last week because the rolled oats were sold out. Tonight I bough a bag of rolled oats and they look just like the regular oats except they were more expensive????

What's the difference besides the cost??

The rolled oats should be slightly flattened. They are rolled through two large rollers that are supposed to flatten them and break them up a bit for easier digestion. We sometimes have our corn rolled for our cattle.
