What's the difference?

Barred Rock or Marans? I am still learning about all of this so please excuse me but I don't see an obvious difference between the two. Some help please?

Difference as in what. They have no comparison in looks ?

I assume you are referring to cuckoo marans?

Barred rocks have very defined barring--think of lines drawn with a marker using a straight edge. Cuckoo markings are more like a crayon drawn freehand--very fuzzy.

Rocks have yellow legs and skin; marans have pink/white legs and skin. Rocks lay a light brown egg; marans lay a DARK brown egg.
