I have ordered some new chicks, to be delivered. One thing I'm a little confused about is when I look at photos of Columbian Wyandottes (which I ordered) they look very simular to Light Sussex. What is the differance? Or are they the same? Thanks in advance!

The two are the same color (Columbian), (Light Sussex are Columbian colored Sussex), but are different breeds. They have different standards and body types etc, the easiest way to tell them apart is Wyandottes have Rose Combs and Sussex should have single combs, so you should be able to tell them apart when they get older (it is hard to see combs on little chicks).

Thanks! I got confused when I googled "Light Sussex" and the exact image that was used as the breed photo of Columbian Wyandotte on the hatchery website came up. So I started looking and they are very similar just looking at the pictures! Thank you!
