whats the earliest you have heard crowing??

I have had my OEGB crow at 1 week old and it's just a little squeek when they do it.
It's so funny

News Break. Coturnix quail crow for no apparent reason, and they are very loud! Not the grate on your nerves like a chicken roo crow, but loud and relentless. For no apparent reason.

Early for me, 4.5 weeks, early in a 24hour period....All hours of the night and morning!

I Would Shoot Sooner, But I Usually Stub A Toe On The Bedframe And Bounce Around On 1 Foot Ping-ponging Off Of Unknown Objects In The Dark--- All While Cursing Like A Drunken Sailor--- So It Takes Me A Few Minutes To Be Able To Walk SafEly With A Loaded Shotgun....

Well, if I open fired on crowing roos, then I wouldn't have many birds, and probably zero roos.

If I stubbed toe jumping up for my gun, then I would spend more than a few minuets (Crying like a baby) on the floor.
Been there, done that.

This is way to funny to me!

So just how loud are the roos when they start? I am seriously considering getting some coturnix, but I was going to put their home about 25 feet away from the bedroom window....is that a bad idea? I have a banty frizzle now that I keep locked up until I decide I am awake enough to listen to him crow in the morning, I don't really want to be waking up to any more racket
