what's the genetic basis of porcelain?

hm, wow, thank y'all, it is going to take me several days with a genetics book to digest all this

speckled sussex would have the spangled/mottled/whateveryacallit allele, yes?

i don't know the exact genetic soup for the spangled sussex, but they do have the gene for mottled, and i believe mahoghany as well. i don't remember if they are wheaton or partridge allele though.

Porcelain = columbian Co/Co plus mottled mo/mo plus lavender lav/lav
E-allele could be wheaten E^Wh or partridge e^b or maybe even duckwing e+. Birchen E^R or extended black E would block the columbian's action.

Spangling like on Hamburgh could also be instead of columbian but that is very fancy (Birchen or partridge base). Spangling is the combination of the linked genes/alleles "Dark brown", "Melanotic"and "Pattern gene" Db-Ml-Pg.
