What's the rarest breed or variety you have?

I wish I would of really ended up with the sapphire gems I thought I was getting. I think they’re grrayish lavender color is also pretty.

Genetically speaking, Sapphire Gems are blue, not lavender. The two colors are caused by different genes, even though they sometimes look alike.

My longtail chickens, sold as Onagadori from Feather Lover Farms. Have had them for 3 years. Hatched some Ohiki chicks this spring and plan on getting more of those.

How were the chicks? I wanted to add some to my order but based off my pheonix chicks, i was worried they would be too small and fragile to survive shipping

Ohiki we’re shipped as eggs. 5 of 12 hatched. Longtail chicks did pretty well with shipping as best I can recall.

Okay, neat. Is thers a reason you call them long tail and not Onigodori? Are they molting or something?

I’ve been told that true Onagadori are not sold in this country by a breeder of good quality ones.

Indio Gigantes - love this little flock! They are friendly & pretty quiet. When roosters do crow, which is not often, its a deeper tone & not screechy & irritating.
