Ok, y'all..... got my Genesis 1588 yesterday and put in my first batch of eggs. What should I keep the humidity at? The LG I have, and probably will only be used as a brooder from now on, kept it about 45-55%. Right now its running around 55-60% in the Genesis. Is that too high? I dont want to drown the chicks. Even though the LG fluctuated alot with the temps the humidity stayed pretty consistant. I just want to make sure this hatch goes well also.

I didn't put any water in my hovabator and humidity was steady at 35% - 40%.
I saw many different opinions about humidity though.

I fill one reservoir at day one and put in a tube so I can add water when needed. I use two or three hygrometers.

I keep it between 25% and 35% for days 1-18

And at 65% for lockdown.

I had 41 out of 65 eggs hatch last time.

I hold between 35 and 40 till day 18 and then I boost to 60- 65... I have had 100 percent hatches out of mine. I average about 90 percent or better.

Right now its holding around 55% and I took out the plug. I will just let the water evaporate and see what the humidity holds then. I filled the center one like it said all the way up. Maybe I can suck a little out with a syringe tonight.
