88F Thursday 7:08 pm. Was supposed to rain today. They lied. Grass looks like hay, at least didn't have to mow it.

Yes. AC works in this heat Even swamp coolers work to a degree until we really get into monsoon in July. But the rule of thumb is hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Sunscreen and a hat, and if possible go out at night. Ice blocks and frozen treats for the girls, with fans in the coop and lots of shade.

It's entirely possible that after a couple of summers here on the surface of the sun, our brains are partially melted so we just kind of forget about the fact that the sun is actively trying to kill us.
