What's The Weirdest Thing You've Seen People Do While Driving??

I recently saw a girl driving a pickup, and I use the term driving in the loosest possible sense. She had one foot out the window, and both hands texting. The only limb she had engaged in driving was on the gas pedal. Yikes!!!!

I've seen newspapers, laptops, books, shaving and makeup. I've seen far too many unrestrained toddlers in cars too.

I spent a few weeks one summer riding with my brother across country in a big rig. It was an education. Saw a lot of examples of poor judgement while driving, but there were three that stand out. One, was the lady talking on her cell phone, holding the phone in one hand, gesturing wildly with the other hand, and steering the car with her knees. I was in the big rig right behind her and we were going down a steep winding road. Two, was the guy drinking a cup of coffee and reading the Wall Street Journal which he had spread across the steering wheel, while driving in commuter traffic down the freeway. Last, but not least, was the guy driving down the freeway at 60mph while, uh, being "pleasured" by his female passenger. All I can say is that he had great powers of concentration. And no regard for his safety, or mine.

I saw a man swerving all over the road. Can't tell you what was going on in the car on a family forum though. I've seen people reading books, watching movies, ect. while driving.

I looked down from a truck to see a woman changing her baby's diaper with one hand while driving with the other ... at about 70 mph on I 95 near DC, in fairly heavy traffic.

The baby was lying on the passenger seat, and "mom" was leaning across to tend to the diapering while trying to keep the car in her lane.

I've seen some dumb stuff, but that was the winner.

wow.

Not so bad but strange - in evening rush hour in downtown, slowly watched a guy change from suit to date casual. The funniest was watching him changing socks, foot up over in the stop and go traffic. I was behind the guy. I think he changed his pants too, but I couldn't see.
Stuck on Spagetti Junction in Atlanta in summer Friday rush hour, the passengers in the camper hop out, walk around to the cooler strapped on the back bumper, relieve it of a couple of cold beers, and hop back in. I was rather envious.

I keep a cooler in the back of the truck. I specifically turn it so that it opens on the cab side. I've been known to send my sister through the back window to retreive drinks when we're stopped or in stop/go traffic. However I've not attempted to do it while actually flying down the road. LOL

My husband had a morse code contact with someone who was driving. I guess that's an earlier version of texting while driving.

My friend once forgot to take her gas mask off before driving home and freaked out a child in the next car. Thank goodness it was pre-911 or there might have been real trouble.

The worst I have personally seen was two children in the front of a pickup not wearing their seat belts. What makes this the worst? There were 2 star cracks on the windshield, each at the height of the child sitting behind it, and they STILL weren't wearing their seatbelts.
